Below are several videos of a live Excel training session I did with Olga. She was at her computer in Washington, D.C. and I was at my computer in New York City.
The video above shows the first 8 minutes of our session & is a basic intro to Excel emphasizing some of its formatting features.
I was able to connect to her computer and both of us could see each other’s computer screens. The entire session was recorded and parts of it will be shown below.
By watching these videos, you will see that doing online training is very effective, very easy and a great way to learn how to use computer programs, no matter where you live in the world.
As you watch the videos you will hear both of us talking to each other on the telephone. In these online sessions you can also use a microphone to speak to each other. This may be more practical when giving a training session internationally, as there won’t be any phone call charges.
The entire training session was about 2 hours long. Olga really enjoyed the training and said she learned so many new things about Excel.

In this clip, we changed to Olga’s computer screen and saw her working with the Macintosh version of Excel, practicing some of the things she learned from watching Stu’s instruction on his Dell computer screen.

In this clip, we changed back to Stu’s Dell computer screen and Olga was given control of the mouse. You can see Olga working on Stu’s computer screen and doing some of the things she learned about how to use Excel.
